Connected learning in primary school

Programme foundations

Practices inspired by the Singapore method

We draw on its foundations to make mathematics a process of understanding and enquiry rather than memorising procedures. Learning begins with situations close to children’s lives and concrete materials, then moves to drawings and visual models that represent relationships before reaching symbols and abstraction. Learners are encouraged to explore different strategies, explain their choices and discuss ideas with classmates.

Project-based learning

Connecting knowledge to real situations that require research, teamwork, planning and production, so learners take an active role and apply what they have learned.

Future-ready skills

Developing communication, critical thinking, creativity, digital literacy and teamwork through progressive, age-appropriate learning situations.
