Children actively engaged in learning
An active approach rooted in curiosity and exploration to build understanding, independence and confidence.
Foundations of our approach
01
Active learning
Children observe, ask questions, experiment and explain while the teacher guides and supports.
02
Progression and adaptation
Activities adapted to age, pace and individual differences.
03
Assessment for learning
Ongoing observation, constructive feedback and support plans whenever needed.
Approaches selected with care
- Selected Montessori principles in preschool, used in ways that suit the school programme and children’s needs.
- Practices inspired by the Singapore method begin with real situations and concrete materials that help learners construct meaning. They then represent relationships through drawings and visual models before progressing towards symbols and abstraction. This approach also values problem-solving, comparing strategies and explaining reasoning clearly.
- Project-based learning and problem-solving to connect knowledge with learners’ everyday lives.
- Age-appropriate robotics and digital literacy to develop logical thinking, creativity and teamwork.
- Language learning through meaningful communication that helps children understand and express themselves confidently.
Partnership with families
We share each child’s progress with their family through meetings, reports and organised communication. Our aim is to work together to build positive habits, independence and confidence without pressure or comparison.
